The disposable stimulation probes of Dr. Langer Medical GmbH are intended for single use in the field of intraoperative neurological monitoring. The devices are disposable stimulation probes for temporary direct stimulation of nerves, muscles and the central nervous system (CNS). The disposable stimulation probes of Dr. Langer Medical GmbH are used to localise the structures mentioned above and to verify their excitability and integrity. With the help of evoked biopotentials it is possible to confirm the functioning of nerves and muscles, map their pathways or identify specific areas in the brain. Direct electrical stimulation of nerves, muscles or the CNS is performed via the electrodes at the tip of the disposable stimulation probe. The design of the monopolar and bipolar electrode tips prevents tissue injuries when the probes are employed in compliance with their intended use. Dr. Langer Medical GmbH recommends using their disposable stimulation probes with AVALANCHE® neuromonitors and TWISTER® neurostimulators.
